Douglas O’Donnell
Chief Executive Officer/President.

In 1992, Douglas O’Donnell started his career in commercial real estate by joining O’Donnell Property Services and later Insignia Commercial Group, Inc. He worked his way up through the companies from Leasing Coordinator to eventually overseeing the leasing and sales activities for the 25,000,000 square foot portfolio.

In 1995, he was Insignia’s top leasing agent nationwide. In 1996, Douglas O’Donnell started The O’Donnell Group, Inc. and O’Donnell Management Company an industrial development company and property management company, respectively.   He is the CEO of both.  He has successfully overseen the acquisition and development of over 10,000,000 square feet of industrial properties totaling over $500,000,000.

Most recently, Doug has started a $1,100,000,000 public non-traded industrial REIT named O’Donnell Strategic Industrial REIT and O’Donnell Strategic Industrial Advisors.  Doug is the CEO of both.  Doug has an undergraduate degree in International Relations, a Master’s of Business Administration and a Master’s in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.

Doug is on the Board of Directors for the UCI Center For Real Estate, The Lusk Center for Real Estate Development at USC, and a member of the Policy Advisory Board for The Fisher Center & Urban Economics at UC Berkeley.

He is also a member of the Orange County and Inland Empire NAIOP Chapters and The Urban Land Institute.

 

John O’Donnell
Chairman

John is the principal partner in various partnerships involved in the development of industrial real estate in Southern California, Northern California, Seattle, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska. These partnerships operated from 1972 to 1989 while developing over 16,000,000 sq/ft of industrial space.

Mr. O’Donnell is currently responsible for investment strategies, key management decisions as well as investment capital.  He also assists in the implementation of building design and construction matters.

In 1986, John formed O’Donnell Property Services, the property management entity of The O’Donnell Group that managed and marketed over 26,000,000 square feet of industrial properties throughout California.  In 1995, O’Donnell Property Services was sold to Insignia ESG.  John O’Donnell continues to serve as a consultant to Insignia.

Prior to the formation of The O’Donnell Group, John worked with Coldwell Banker for ten years as a broker and sales manager.  He credits his experience at Coldwell Banker for the success he has enjoyed as an independent businessman for the past 28 years.

In addition to his professional vocation, John is an honorary trustee and chairman of the International Council of Urban Land Institute, which he served as a trustee for 18 years.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of Corporation GEO, a leading social housing developer in Mexico.

John has an undergraduate from the University of Southern California.  He is a member of the Orange County and Inland Empire NAIOP Chapters as well as a member of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Industrial Office Park Council.

 

Christopher Cameron
Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer for The O’Donnell Group, Mr. Cameron is responsible for all finance, accounting, compliance, financial reporting requirements, treasury and budgeting functions.  This includes execution of external audit requirements, compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and broker-dealer due diligence reviews.

Mr. Cameron has over 11 years of real estate and accounting experience.  Prior to joining The O’Donnell Group, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for TNP Strategic Retail Trust, Inc., a  public non-traded REIT with a focus on multi-tenant, necessity based retail centers.  Mr. Cameron  also worked for six years with Cole Real Estate Investments, as the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting.  While at Cole, Mr. Cameron oversaw the implementation and growth of three separate public non-traded REIT’s, assisting with the growth of total real estate assets from approximately $20 million to over $6 billion company-wide.  Cole’s focus is primarily on single and multi-tenant retail properties.

Mr. Cameron’s past work experience also includes serving as a senior accountant with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, serving large public and private entities.  He also served four years in the United States Army Infantry.  While in the Army, Mr. Cameron had the distinction of being deployed to Somalia, Haiti and Panama to serve in both combat and peacekeeping missions.  After completion of his initial four year tour of duty with the Army, Mr. Cameron received an honorable discharge with merit for exceptional service.

Mr. Cameron received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance from the University of Arizona.  He is a certified public accountant and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs.

 

Shahab Taleghani
Controller

As Controller for The O’Donnell Group, Mr. Taleghani serves as an executive manager in which he oversees all accounting for all assets and property management within The O’Donnell Group and O’Donnell Management Company

Mr. Taleghani has twenty years of progressive experience in both Real Estate Development and Property Management Accounting.  Prior to joining The O’Donnell Group, he served as Corporate Controller for Southern California regional offices of Trammell Crow Company.  He was responsible for managing the accounting department and administrating the books for the regional company as well as projects under development and property management.  Mr. Taleghani’s past work experience also includes tenure with Jones Lang LaSalle, COMPASS Management and Leasing and The Brinderson Corporation.

Mr. Taleghani holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco.

 

 

 

Jessica Nieto
Property Management

Jessica’s responsibilities at O’Donnell Management Company includes the administration of the asset and management services to insure optimal client performance.

Jessica has been in the Property Management industry for seven years, holding a variety of positions within the industry. Prior to joining O’Donnell Management Company Jessica worked as an Executive Assistant for Camden Property Trust assisting in all multifamily investments, which included both acquisition and development opportunities. Jessica’s previous work experience includes supporting a portfolio of 14 communities under renovation for Legacy Partners.

Mrs. Nieto’s background and work enables her to handle all aspects of property and asset management.

 

 

 

 

Griffin Cogorno
Acquisitions Manager

Griffin Cogorno is responsible for completing acquisition strategy and due diligence for The O’Donnell Group. These responsibilities include providing Mr. O’Donnell with supplemental support for all facets of the acquisition and development process.  Mr. Cogorno is also in charge of marketing strategy and implementation.

Prior to joining The O’Donnell Group, Mr. Cogorno was the Vice President of Newport Capital Group for 7 years heading the commercial finance division managing over 30 employees. Mr. Cogorno also has a background in developing mobile phone applications and SMS notification systems for small to mid-sized businesses.

Mr. Cogorno possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at San Diego where he was the captain of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Volleyball Team.  Mr. Cogorno also holds a California real estate license and is a member of NAIOP, Young Professionals Class of 2012 (NAIOP), The DRE, OCAR, CPREG, FLOC, and Families Forward.
